Audition Information
High Springs Community Theater

real High Definition Theater

Mr. Shakespeare thinks you can play a part and so do we.. Why not try acting. We
would love for you to audition. We welcome actors of all experience levels.
Generally, to audition for a regular play, you will be asked to do a "cold reading"
which is a small reading directly from the play script. Some directors may ask that
you come with a prepared monologue.

For musicals, come to the audition prepared to sing 10 bars of a song of your
choosing. Please bring sheet music for your song selection. A piano player will be
available to accompany you or if you wish you can bring your own accompanist.

We guarantee you will enjoy your HSCT audition.

After the audition the Director will discuss the role or roles with you.
If you accept  the role/roles you will be asked to sign the
HSCT Actors contract and Liability Wavier. The  contract spells out the rehearsal
schedule, play dates,an any other requirements for the role.
